Hurricane Dorian

The Consulate General of The Bahamas in Miami wishes to advise the general public and Bahamians in Florida that we are closely monitoring the forecasted track of Hurricane Dorian. At present time, Hurricane
Dorian is expected to approach the Florida Coast on or about September 2, 2019, as at least a category 4 hurricane with winds of 130 mph. Heavy rain, flooding, strong storm surge, and hurricane force winds will
be a threat to much of the Florida Peninsula between September 2nd and 4
th. In this regard, the Consulate is urging all Bahamian nationals to take the necessary precautions and to closely monitor weather reports.

In our quest to assist Bahamians within this jurisdiction before, during, and after the hurricane; we urge all nationals to contact the Consulate at 305-987-2024 or on Instagram and Facebook at Bahamas Consulate
Miami to provide updates regarding the impact of the storm in their area. For your safety, please adhere to local and state emergency and safety guidelines. Further, ensure that all documents, including passports,
are secured.
