ALL ELIGIBLE UNREGISTERED CITIZENS OF THE BAHAMAS ABROAD
Bahamian Citizens posted or enrolled overseas, who remain ordinarily residents in The Bahamas in the following categories, and are either:
Staff Members of any Embassy, High Commission, Foreign Mission
Staff Members of the Bahamas Maritime Authority
Public Officers or Staff Members of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism abroad
Students currently enrolled in bona fide studies at universities and colleges abroad
Spouses of said Students, Foreign Officers or said Public Officers of The Bahamas Government Agencies Abroad
Immediate family members living in the household of that member of staff
A person with a disability or who is aged 65 or older
A registered voter likely to be, on election day, a patient in any hospital, nursing home, home for the aged or other institution for the treatment of any chronic illness or disability
A person who by reason of illness, infirmity, pregnancy or recent childbirth unable to vote in the constituency in which he/she is registered on election day
A person not qualified to enroll as an overseas voter who expects to be overseas on general election day
a nominated candidate, his/her spouse
Please be advised that Advance Poll voters may submit their application for form J online on https://mygateway.gov.bs/ Or https://www.elections.gov.bs
Form J applications are applicable to students and posted government employees in the United States (eligible dependents included).
Persons who expect to be out of The Bahamas on September 16, 2021 and wish to vote in the Advanced Poll abroad may apply using Form K in accordance with section 49C (1) (c) of the Elections Act. Please contact the Consulate at 305-373-6295 to facilitate your form k application.
The closing date for overseas voters to apply to vote in the Advanced Poll overseas is Friday August 27, 2021.
